When you are having a bad day or you are in a bad mood, the quickest way to change your mood is to smile. It's difficult to feel upset at the moment you smile.
If you are finding it too hard to even make one smile, think of something or someone that makes you feel good. This should help you smile.
Here are some of the things that I think about to feel good.
A warm day lying on the beach under an umbrella with a gentle ocean breeze. The kind of day in which the sun keeps you hot and the breeze keeps you cool always conjures up a relaxed carefree feeling.
A funny time with a friend (when you laughed so hard your back hurt). I often think back to a time in my 20s when I was working with a friend. We often laughed out loud. We laughed so hard over anything that struck us as funny. There was no holding back!
A delicious meal. If you are anything like me, you love to eat. I can finish a meal, be totally satisfied but still think about what to have for my next meal. Thoughts of healthy and delicious food, easily lift my spirits!
